Will Liverpool qualify for the EFL cup Final tonight?

Liverpool has only managed to win twice after losing the first leg of a league cup semi-final.

The first was against crystal palace in 2001, they lost the first leg 2-1 , only to return to Anfield and thrash crystal palace 5-0; goals scored by Smicer, Igor Biscan, Robbie Fowler and Danny Murphy's brace.

Two years later Liverpool lost the first leg of the league cup semi-final 2-1 to Sheffield united
again they fought back to win 2-0 after extra time, goals by Michael Owen and El Hadji Diouf.

If Jurgen klopp's men are to win today then they must not play the same way they did against Swansea; they lacked defensive organization and accurate passes.

Emre Can was Guilty of taking too many touches with the ball, he has been off form lately, klopp needs to drop him so Adam lallana can return to the midfield. and probably introduce Divock Origi or Daniel Sturridge alongside Firminho and Coutinho.

Lallana has not really been influencial ever since he took up Mane's position. he needs to go back to the midfield where he can easily pop up in the opposition box and score a goal.

Liverpool have so far failed to defeat Southampton this season. the first leg in the EPL ended 0-0, they also lost 1-0 in the EFL cup.

Southampton's defensive tactics so far has proven to be a tough nut to crack
for jurgen klopp's men.

With Matip available, Coutinho getting back to his best, Liverpool should be organised at the back and should also be able to break down southampton's resolute defense.

Coutinho must play well today to break down Southampton's defense, with his crisp passes and his ability to shoot from long range, they wont be able to cope.

Liverpool must try and score first and score early, this will disrupt Southampton's defensive game plan.

Victory for Liverpool depends on Which Liverpool turn up today.
