Neymar to stand trial on corruption charges

Barcelona attacker Neymar has lost his final appeal he will stand on trial with his club over corruption charges related to his transfer from Santos in 2013.

Neymar's mother and the family company N&N also Lost their appeal.

The case began when Brazillian company DIS which owned 40% of Neymar's right complained of being paid less than what they should have received.

The court released a statement: "Santos FC, Barcelona FC, Neymar, his mother Nadine Goncalves and N&N, the family company, have lost their appeals to have charges of fraud and corruption dropped."

Neymar could be jailed for 2years and fined if found guilty.

He will not necessarily be jailed due to Spanish laws. jail term under two years are waived. He will have to pay the fine Reportedly will be up to £8 Million.
