Boro sacks coach Aitor Karanka

Boro have sacked coach Aitor Karanka following a run of bad results.

Middlesbrough are yet to win a game in their last 10 games and are also battling to stay in the Premier League with 11 games to go.

He joined Boro from Real Madrid in 2013, he helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League last year.

He said :This club will always hold a special place for me,"

"I'd like to thank Boro for a wonderful opportunity and the players, staff and also to all the people at the club who I have worked with."

Middlesbrough Assistant manager Steve Agnew will take charge of the team pending the appointed of a new coach.
