Juan Mata Could Miss the Rest Of The Season After Undergoing Groin Surgery

Mata could miss rest of season groin surgery

Manchester United have announced Juan Mata had a successful surgery on a groin Injury.

With no time given for his return, the Spaniard could miss the rest of the season with 11 league games to go.

Mata's absence is a huge blow for Jose Mourinho's side, with several of his key players injured and suspended.

With United still trying to secure a top four finish and the Europa League still to play for the Spaniard will definitely be missed.

The 28 year old has contributed immensely to Jose Mourinho's side this season with 10 goals only Ibrahimovic has scored more.

In his pre match interview ahead of the clash against West brom. Jose Mourinho spoke on the club's injury crisis. He said : "We cannot be here crying or speaking about the players who are not available to play,"

"The important players are the ones that are ready to play that I trust and the ones who are going to give us everything tomorrow to keep us in the fight for the top four."
