Manchester City charged with misconduct by the English FA



The English FA has charged Manchester City for misconduct following an incident that happened during City's draw against Liverpool.


Manchester City players were furious after the referee Michael Oliver awarded a penalty kick to Liverpool following a challenge from Clichy on Liverpool forward Roberto Firminho.

Some Manchester City players surrounded the referee to protest the decison.

James Milner scored from the spot kick.

Sergio Aguero got the equalizer for Manchester City to end the game 1-1.

The English FA released a statement: "Manchester City have been charged with misconduct after the game against Liverpool on Sunday.

"It is alleged that in or around the 50th minute of the fixture, the club
failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

"City have until 6pm on Thursday 23 March 2017 to respond to the charge."
