AC Milan Sold to Rosonerri Sport Investment Lux

Italian side AC Milan has been sold to Chinese investors Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux for £628 million.

Belusconi's family holding Fininvest and Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux released a joint statement : "Today Fininvest has completed the sale of the entire stake owned in AC Milan - equal to 99.93% - to Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux."

According to the sun : Negotiations have been ongoing since May 2016 with Complications delaying the sale.

Former Italian prime Minister Silvio Belusconi has been the owner of the club since 1986. With this sale the club will have their debts wiped.

AC Milan was one of the biggest clubs in the world acheiving success in all fronts, winning European competitions and domestic titles.

The club has been in a free fall for years, failing to qualify for European competition since 2013-2014 season, losing their best players to other top clubs.

New owner, Li Yonghong has promised to return AC Milan to the top by Signing quality players.

Milan are currently sixth on the Seria A table 10 points behind Napoli in the final Champions League playoff spot with seven games to play.
