EPL Recap :Man City Win To Go Third As Spurs Go Four Points Behind Chelsea

Man city win to go third

Manchester City defeated Southampton 3-0 at St Mary to go third on the EPL table one point ahead of Liverpool in fourth place.


Vincent Kompany got the first goal for City in the 55th minute, his first since August 2015 with an header from a corner.

Southampton should have equalized in the 73rd minute but Maya Yoshida could only head straight at Bravo from a corner.

Four Minutes later Leroy Sane doubled Manchester City's lead with a low finish inside the box from a Kevin De bruyne pass.

Aguero got the last goal in the 80th minute scoring a close range header from a Kevin De Bruyne cross.

Tottenham Hotspurs thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 at White Hart Lane to go four points behind Chelsea.

Spurs got an early goal in the 16th minute Dembele capitalizing on Bournemouth's poor marking from a corner taking a touch before blasting the ball home from close range.

Son Heung-min got he second goal two minutes later racing on to a flick from Harry Kane before unleasing a shot between Artur Boruc's legs.

Harry Kane got his 20th league goal of the season in the 48th minute controlling a cross from Dele Alli before striking the ball low with his left foot into the bottom corner.

Janssen got the last goal of the goal in the 92nd minute scoring a rebound after his initial effort was Saved by Boruc.

Burnley's Woes away from home continues after they lost 3-1 against Everton at Goddison Park.

Burnley almost went ahead in the 17th minute, Michael Keane powered an header from a Brady corner only for Ross Barkley to clear the ball off the line.

Everton also had a chance of their own in the 35th minute but Holgate's low strike from the edge of the box was saved by Heaton.

Jagielka opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a header. But Burnley equalized three minutes after Everton goalkeeper Robles conceding a penalty with a cynical tackle on Vokes the striker scored the spot kick.




Ben Mee scored an own goal in the 71st minute diverting Barkley's shot in the net.

Three minutes after Lukaku secured the points with his 24th goal of the second Unleasing a shot that flew past Heaton.


Sunderland came from behind to draw 2-2 against West ham at the stadium of light.

Sunderland went behind after 5 minutes from a close range strike from Andre Ayew. Whabi Khazri equalized for Sunderland directly from a corner in the 26th minute.

James Collins put West ham ahead for the second time Heading in a Robert Snodgrass corner. Borini equalized late in the game smashing the ball in the net after West ham goalkeeper Randolph failed to deal with a long cross.

Crystal palace came back from a two goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw against Leceister city at Selhurst park.

Robert Huth put Leceister ahead early in the game with an header from a long throw by Christian Fuchs.

Jamie Vardy got the second goal in the second half with a curling effort into the left corner from a counter-attack.




Johan Cabaye halved the lead with a low strike from 10 yards after a low cross from former Leceister city player Jeffery Schulpp.

Christian Benteke rescued a point for Crystal palace in the 70th minute scoring a header from an Andy Townsend cross.

Stoke returned to winning ways at the Britannia stadium defeating Hull City 3-1.

Marco Arnautovic put stoke ahead in the 6th minute with a curling strike into the far corner from a Shakiri pass.

Harry Maguire levelled the score in the 51st minute smashing the ball into the net from the far post after stoke failed to clear a short corner.

Peter Crouch put Stoke ahead again with an header in the 66th minute from a John Walters cross before Shaqiri fired in a 35 yards curling effort to secure the points.

Watford moved to 10th position on the table with a 1-0 win against relegation candidate Swansea.

Etienne Capoue got the only goal of the game smashing in a rebound after his initial effort was saved by Fabianski.
