Liverpool Boss Jurgen klopp Gave An Update On Mane's Injury

Jurgen klopp update on Mane's Injury

Klopp has revealed Saido Mane won't be available for wednesday's clash against Bournemouth following the injury he sustained in saturday's Merseyside derby.

Mane scored Liverpool's first goal against Everton on saturday left the pitch in the 52nd Minute, he twisted his knee after a collision with Everton's left back Baines.

Origi came in for the injured Mane to seal the three points for Liverpool. With Mane out Klopp will hope Origi can get back to the form he was in last season to help with Liverpool's fight for a Champions League place finish.

In this Post Match press conference Klopp said : "When I saw him in the dressing room, it didn’t look like he’ll be ready for Wednesday,”

“We will see, hopefully it’s not that serious, but of course it’s not nothing and that makes our life not easier, I would say.”

When asked to clarify what type of injury Mane had sustained, Klopp replied: “I don’t know exactly, I don’t want to speculate now.

“Obviously he has pain and it didn’t look like it’s only a knock or a muscle or something, but we have to wait.

“When I came in I was looking for him immediately and I saw him on the bed. He’d already had treatment, and it didn’t look like he felt really comfortable.”

With Lallana, Henderson and now Mane out, though the extent of his injury is not yet known until a scan is conducted, Liverpool boss Jurgen klopp can't afford to lose Mane to a long term injury, the pacy winger is Liverpool's top scorer this season.
