Saido Mane Set For Surgery On His Knee

Saido Mane Set For Surgery On His Knee

Liverpool Winger Saido Mane will undergo a knee surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be out for eight weeks.

Mane Sustained this Injury in the Merseyside side derby early April. He has missed two games already and is expected to miss out on the remaining games this season.

The 25 year old will be available for selection for pre season games this summer.

His absence is a huge blow for Jurgen klopp's side. The team has struggled to play well without the Senegalese. Liverpool won once and drew the other game he missed since his absence.

With the club battling to qualify for the Champions League next season Jurgen klopp has been forced to re-shuffle his formation by switching to three at the back.

The club has been plagued by injuries all season, with Danny Ings and Mane out of the season, Henderson and Lallana are also currently sidelined.

Liverpool have six more games to play in the League. they are currently third on the EPL table ahead of Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal having played more games.

If Jurgen klopp's side are to qualify for the Champions League they will have to keep winning without Mane. The Brazillian duo Coutinho and Firminho can definitely deliver Champions League Football next season after rescuing Liverpool with a win at the Britannia.
