Sunderland Relegated After 10 Years In Premier League

Sunderland are the first side to be relegated from the English Premier League this season putting and end to their 10 years in the League.

They lost 1-0 to Bournemouth at the stadium of light with Joshua King scoring the goal that sends Sunderland into the Championship.

Defoe missed various opportunities to prolong Sunderland's stay in the Premier League.

Sunderland made four changes to the side that lost to Middlesbrough with Kone, Love, Pienaar and Borini starting the game while Bournemouth made just a change Lewis Cook replacing the injured Dan Gosling.

Sunderland got the first shot on target in the 10th minute Borini unleashing a powerful right foot effort that Artur Boruc tipped away.

Bournemouth almost went ahead in the 20th minute but Josh king's shot could only hit the cross bar before Pickford recovered to gather the ball.

Pickford denied Afobe and King with two fantastic saves just before half time.

Borini had another shot saved by Boruc in the 51st minute.

Josh king got the goal that sends Sunderland to the Championship from a counter-attack in the 88th minute receiving a pull back from Fraser before scoring from close range.
