West Ham will offer Michail Antonio new improved contract

West Ham will offer Michail Antonio a new improved contract said to be £65,000 a week this summer.

The 27 year old was signed from Nottingham forest in 2015 for £7 million a fee now considered to be a steal considering how important he is to the club.

The England star is a winger, but he is also a versatile playing having been used in different positions since he join West Ham.

The Winger has been in exceptional form with 9 goals in the league for his club despite the club's poor form this season.

The club is eager to keep their star players away from top clubs an improved contract might just be enough to keep Antonio.

A source told The Sun: “Michail will be offered the new deal after what has been a fine season for him personally.

“The club wants to keep its top players happy and he is certaintly one of them, he’s been fantastic.

“There will be a few others who will get new contracts as well. It’s
been a tough year but we’ll get there.”

The 27 year old has been out of the squad through injury, he could return this week. His return will be vital for the club with the club just 6 points above the relegation spot.
