EPL Recap : Hull Relegated, Liverpool Close To Champions League Qualification

Hull Relegated

Hull City are relegated from the Premier League after losing 4-0 to crystal Palace at Selhurst park.

They join already relegated Sunderland and Middlesbrough in the Championship next season.

Crystal palace secured Premier League safety with a breathtaking attacking display Wilfred Zaha, Benteke, Milivojevic and Van Aanholt got the goals.

Zaha opened the scoring in the 3rd minute pouncing on to an error from Rannochia to slot the ball past Jakupovic.

Benteke got the second goal in the 34th minute diverting Puncheon's cross in the net with a powerful header.

Luka Milivojevic added the third in the 85th minute converting a spot kick after Dawson fouled Schlupp in the box.

Van Aanholt completed the rout with a goal in the 90th minute collecting a pass from Mc'Authur before slotting the ball between the legs of the goalkeeper.

Liverpool gave themselves a boost in the race to secure Champions League qualification with a resounding 4-0 victory against West Ham at the London stadium.

With Jurgen klopp changing his more favoured 4-3-3 formation to a 4-2-3-1 and also handed a start to Daniel Sturridge, the Striker repaid the coach with a goal.

First half goal from Daniel Sturridge a Coutinho brace and a goal from Origi made sure Liverpool are a win away from Champions League football.

Daniel Sturridge put Liverpool ahead in the 35th minute racing onto a Coutinho through ball, he rounded Adrian before slotting the ball into the net.

Ayew should have equalized for West ham in the 44th minute, but he could only hit the bar twice from 3yards out after Liverpool failed to clear a corner.

West Ham paid for that costly miss 12minutes into the second half as Philippe Coutinho dribbled past several West Ham players at the edge of the box before sending a low strike past Adrian.

Four Minutes after Coutinho got his brace, Liverpool broke on a counter-attack Wijnaldum feeds Coutinho the ball inside the box, the Brazillian cuts inside before striking the ball past Adrian.

Origi unleashed a thunderous 20 yards strike that hit the cross bar in the 66th minute before eventually scoring Liverpool's fourth goal in the 76th minute with a simple tap in from few yards out.

Tottenham sealed a second place finish after defeating Manchester United 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Harry Kane and Victor Wanyama got the goals for Spurs before wayne Rooney pulled one back for Manchester United.

Both sides made changes to their starting line-up with Spurs making just a change to the side that lost to West Ham, Kieran Trippier replacing Kyle Walker at right back.

Manchester United made 8 changes to the side that drew Celta vigo in the Europa League. David de Gea, Axel Tuanzebe, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial starting the game.

Tottenham scored with their first attempt on goal in the 6th minute. Victor Wanyama rose highest in the box to power Davies cross beyond de Gea in goal.

Harry Kane doubled the lead in the 48th minute. the Englishman was able to get ahead of Smalling to divert Eriksen's cross past De Gea.

Rooney pulled one back for United in the 71st minute connecting with Martial's low cross into the box to poke home via a deflection off Vertonghen.
