EPL : Tottenham Wins North London Derby, Chelsea Thrash Everton

Tottenham Wins North London Derby

Tottenham defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the north london derby at White Hart Lane to ensure they finish above Arsenal for the first time since 1995.


With Chelsea winning their game earlier Tottenham needed to win to stay in the title race, they didn't disappoint with Dele Alli and Harry Kane getting the goals.

Spurs dominated the first half missing chances to open the Scoring with Dele Alli heading wide with Cech wrong footed in the 22nd minute.

The first half ended with Spurs restricting Arsenal to efforts from outside the box.

Cech made a fantastic save from a Wanyama shot early in the second half before Dele Alli broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, Scoring a rebound after Cech parried Eriksen's initial shot.

Harry Kane got the second, scoring a penalty after he was tripped by Gabriel in the box.

Chelsea secured a 3-0 win against Everton at Goodison park to move closer to securing the EPL title.

Pedro got the opener before Gary Cahill and Willian secured the points.

With both sides failing to score in the first half, Pedro stepped up for Chelsea in the 66th minute firing a left footed shot from 25 yards into the top left corner of the net.

Gary Cahill made it 2-0 in the 79th minute after Stekelenburg parried Hazard's free kick off his knee into the net, Willian got the third late in the game finishing a cut back from Fabregas.

Manchester City could not find a way past relegation threatened side Middlesbrough coming from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw at the Riverside stadium.




With Jesus back from injury Pep Guardiola started with a 3-4-1-2 formation Aguero and Jesus together up front.

Despite Manchester City's potent attack it was the home side that got the opening goal in the 38th minute, Negredo firing a left footed shot into the net from a Stewart Downing cross.

Aguero equalized for City in the 68th minute scoring a penalty after Sane went down easily in the box under a challenge by De Roon.

Chambers put Boro ahead again in the 77th minute poking the ball home from close range.

Gabriel Jesus got the equalizer late in the game with a bullet header from an Aguero cross.

The King Of draws Manchester United missed the chance to break into the top four playing a 1-1 draw against Swansea at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney scored from the penalty spot just before half time after Rashford dived to win the spot kick.

Free kick specialist Gylfi Sigurdsson equalized for Swansea with a stunning free kick in the 79th minute bending the ball into the top corner with de Gea rooted.
