Juventus Secures Third Consecutive Coppa Italia

Juventus Secures Third Consecutive Coppa Italia

Italian side Juventus made history by becoming the first side to secure three consecutive Coppa Italia in a row after defeating Lazio 2-0 in the final.

Juventus aim of securing the treble this season is firmly intact as they are on top of the Seria A table and are also in the Champions League final.

Juventus defenders Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci got both goals of the game in the first half.

Balde almost got the opener for Lazio in the 6th minute following a quick counter attack but his shot came off the woodwork.

A minute after Higuain had a 25 yards strike parried by the goalkeeper.

Dani Alves broke the deadlock in the 12th minute Volleying Sandro's cross inside the net after he was left unmarked.

Juventus almost added the second goal in the 19th minute but Strakosa pulled off two great saves first saving Dybala's strike before saving Higuain's goal bound effort.

Leonardo Bonucci got the second and final goal of the game in the 24th minute scoring from close range following a deflected corner kick.

Lazio had chances to get back in the game with Immobile and Savic missing headers they should have scored.

Juventus have now won this competition 12 times and are almost certain to win the Seria A title.
