England defeats Venezuela claim U20 world cup

England U-20 team defeated Venezuela 1-0 earlier today to claim the U-20 World Cup title for the first time.

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the only goal of the game to hand England their biggest International trophy in 21 years.

Newcastle goalkeeper Freedie Woodman was the hero for England following his penalty save from Adalberto Penaranda with 17 minutes left the play.

His save was enough to help England claim the trophy as England held on their their 1-0 lead, he was given the Golden Glove Award.

Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke won the Golden ball award, given to the best player of the tournament.
