Mohamed Salah Signs For Liverpool

Salah Signs For Liverpool

Former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah has joined Liverpool in a deal worth £36.9 million.

The 25 year old joins the club from Italian side AS Roma, he has signed a five year deal at the club.

With negotiations dragging on for weeks with his former club Roma who refused to sell him less than their valuation, Liverpool finally came to an agreement to secure the Egyptian.

The 25 year old has been a long term target for Liverpool, but he chose to join Chelsea in January 2014, he featured 19 times for the blues before he was sent out on loan to Fiorentina and Roma, the latter signed him permanently.

The pacy winger had a wonderful 2016/2017 for Roma, churning out wonderful performances week in week out, he scored 15 tines for the Italian side.

Jurgen klopp has made signing fast wingers his priority this summer, the club went through a rough patch when their first choice winger Saido Mane went to the African Cup of Nations and also when he was out injured.

Liverpool fans would be eager to see both pacy wingers operate at the left and right side of the pitch, with Coutinho dropping into the midfield.

Salah's capture will add more pace to Liverpool's attack, and make it difficult for team who tend to sit deep against Liverpool. He will wear the No 11 jersey, Firminho will change to the No 9 jersey.
